Responsibilities and Job Requirements [In terms of Apple Developer]

The most talented software engineers are required for this position! You should have a BS or MS in CS, solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, and an aptitude for problem-solving. The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic, energetic, and full of initiative! Will be prepared to investigate cutting-edge new technologies.

  • Having a solid foundation in the Hadoop ecosystem and experience with Hadoop administration tasks like cluster deployment, node addition, and deletion, name node high availability, etc.
  • Strong competency in system platforms, including CPU, memory, networking, and operating systems.
  • Experience handling Big Data platforms on the Cloud is preferred.
  • Enthusiastic about problem-solving and debugging complex engineering issues. With the help of various engineering and customer teams, prioritize complex operational issues.
  • Strong knowledge of automation. Create tools and scripts to keep an eye on server-side components and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Rational Java/Python programming skills and experience. Create management and scaling frameworks and tools for big data technologies.
  • A working understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the DevOps methodology and tools.
  • It would be ideal to have experience with Kubernetes container implementations.

Education and Experience

  • BS degree in computer science (MS Preferred)
  • Six to 12 years of industry experience managing and deploying distributed, multi-tier, complex Big Data environments.
  • Strong expertise and familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hbase, and Presto, among others.
  • A solid understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and experience with admin tasks like cluster deployment, node addition, and deletion, name node high availability, etc.
  • Strong competency in system platforms, including CPU, memory, networking, and operating systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of public cloud services (AWS & GCP). Experience handling BigData platforms on the Cloud is preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to handle architectural and design factors like performance, scalability, reuse, and flexibility problems
  • Data processing knowledge and experience.
