Introduction
Salesforce is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform that helps businesses to work efficiently and effectively by helping them to connect to their customers in a better way which leads to great profits and customer satisfaction. It helps to improve and manage the relationship between organizations and their customers.
What are the different types of Salesforce Accounts?
There are two types of Salesforce Accounts – Person accounts and Business accounts. These are based on business models.
1. Business Account: It is used to capture companies’ details and for the B2B industry.
It is available in developer, enterprise, performance, and unlimited editions. Salesforce Account is a Business Account by default until we change it depending upon the business requirements.
2. Person Account: It is used to store the information of any individual. This account is used for the B2C industry and is also available in developer, enterprise, performance, and unlimited editions.
Steps to create Salesforce Developer Account
Salesforce allows us to create a free developer account to work on the salesforce platform. Below are the steps which we need to follow to create a free Salesforce Developer Edition account.
Step 1. Open any browser and navigate to the website: ‘https://developer.salesforce.com.’
Step 2. Click on the SIGN-UP button, which we can see on the top right corner of the page.
Step 3. Fill in all the details properly, like Name, Company Name, and Username, with a correct email address. Make sure the email address entered is in use, as the registered user will get the activation link on the same mail address.
Make sure the username is in the form of an email id, irrespective of its existence in reality.
Step 4. After filling in all the necessary details, click on the blue colored ‘Sign me up button.
Step 5. After an application form is submitted, a verification link will be sent to the particular email address the user entered while filling out the form. Click on that link.
Step 6. The sign-up process is now completed, and users can access the Salesforce account by logging in on the Salesforce platform.
