Introduction
A hybrid cloud is a combination of public and private clouds. The hybrid Cloud gives advantages for both public and private with high security of the private Cloud, and public assurance is used within a group of people. Hybrid cloud solutions combined with public Cloud and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) are used by many industries like Amazon Web Services(AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google cloud.
A hybrid cloud enables you to run apps in a virtualized environment. To use a hybrid cloud, we must allow at least one private Cloud and one public Cloud; we can use more than one, but at least one is necessary to use a hybrid cloud. Hybrid cloud infrastructure allows us to move data and apps between these two environments.
Hybrid cloud computing approaches are widespread with features of public and private in one, and today no one relies entirely on the public Cloud.
How to build a Hybrid Cloud
At the beginning of your cloud journey, you have various choices among private, public, and hybrid clouds. Choosing a cloud infrastructure is based on the requirements of the organizations. Planning workloads and understanding business needs compliance plays an essential role while building a hybrid cloud.
Hybrid cloud environments present different opportunities and challenges for organizations while creating a virtual platform and hardware.
Traditional Architecture of hybrid Cloud
In the past, people used a hybrid cloud as a result of connecting a public and private cloud. People used to design their private Cloud using cloud infrastructures such as OpenStack And public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and IBM.
After selecting the private and public Cloud, people have to make a connection by using a network between them. Many companies provide routers for a network like Amazon Web Services, which provides a “Direct Connect” router and many other networks.
The organization provides a few networks.

Shifting the data among vast resources in cloud environments requires secure and low latency middleware or a preconfigured VPN. Many cloud service providers offer VPNs to their customers as a part of subscription packages.
Modern Architecture of Hybrid Cloud
Modern IT teams use Hybrid Cloud by developing apps as a collection of small and loosely coupled services. They use an IT environment for both managing everything through a unified platform like running Linux everywhere, Managing everything using an orchestration engine like Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift®
These create a consistent environment where apps can be moved from one domain to another, and apps are fully automated using Machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Benefits of Hybrid Cloud
- Flexible
- High security
- Can be Customised
- Scalable
- Easy Disaster recovery
- Trouble-free backup options and storage
