Introduction to the term Quantum

Quantum mechanics is based on the principles of wave-particle duality and quantum uncertainty, and it provides a mathematical framework for understanding the properties of quantum systems.

Quantum mechanics has had a profound impact on our understanding of the fundamental nature of the universe and has led to the development of many important technologies, including lasers, transistors, and quantum computers. The term “quantum” is used in a variety of contexts to describe phenomena and technologies that are related to quantum mechanics, including quantum computing, quantum information, and quantum cryptography.
